Well have ya punk?

Not overly convinced about this sort of thing, my Bro is a member of the Wrexham Paranormal Society and cracks me up. He really is the Peter Venkman (Ghostbusters incase you're wondering who the fook PV is) sceptic of the bunch.

He's been to a place called Plas Teg and stopped over during the night at other supposed haunted places. He's obsessed with Orbs which appear on pictures which I personally think are just generated by the camera lens.

Especially when he was interested in getting a Lexus IS200 and we did a search on the web for imports for the maxxed up version, we found a few pics of a car on an auction site in Rand of Lising sun and on one of the pics was an orb over the brake pedal of an auto motor. So I said to him "Look they have orbs in cars aswell" LMAO

Well he's got some vid footage of him and his Ghostbuster mates doing a Ouija board but the spirit seems to have problems grasping the concept of spelling...either that or whoever is controlling the wine glass is severely dislexic. :D ;)

So any of you guys/gals done a Ouija and come away a believer in the spirit world or just come away drinking more spirits?

I have been involved in one and it did work. It was fairly scary shit TBH. We managed to contact someone who had just recently died. It was amazing to see a normal glass shoot around the board and there was no way anyone was pushing it around.

Never have, never would. I know I'm setting myself up to be shot down in this day and age when actually believing in anything is seen to be a weakness rather than a strength ;) but I have to say that messing with Ouija boards is dangerous. The women in my family have been involved in spiritualism, healing and mediumship for a few generations (the mediums never advertise, it's by introduction only and they never charge money before you ask!) and I've grown up with a firm belief in it. Opening yourself up to stuff through a Ouija board is a risky business and something that real spiritualists don't do. Feel free to take the p1ss now! Lol! :D

After my experience with one I wouldn't recommend it, even as a bit of a laugh. It is dangerous IMHO

Im in the beleif that when I die i stop breathing,

Thus no oxygen can get into blood,

Thus brain and all organs will start to fail and eventually cease to operate.

My body will then start to decompose at a rate that is in tune with the climate or conditions for which my body is left in.

Eventually all that will be left will be my bones and teeth for example depending on how good my calcium levels were before I died.

My so called "spirit" is no more than your brains own interpretation of beleifs and thoughts created by millions of tiny nerve endings in the brain unique to each individual that cease to operate once you are dead.

Therefore I conclude in my opinion that these "spirits" are merely a persons/brains way of coping with certain situations and feeling various emotions or wanton beleifs ;)

I think everyone is entitled to beleive in what they choose and should feel comfatable as that is what makes our society(my disclaimer :nono: )

Having said all that i probably wouldnt fook with em just in case :D

ROFLPMFAO :D :D

I have done a few in my yuth. Some very strange happenings during them.

Made it out of paper and an aerosol can lid.

I did it once when I was younger. Scared the sh!t out of me. I wouldn't do another one.

It's funny because I agress with Blackmagic's view entirely, but the Ouiji board did seem very real.

Yep, I'm with Blackmagic (the forum member not a type of witchcraft!).

There's no such things as soul, spirit, magic, special powers or anything paranormal - they only exist in people's heads.

There is only science.

Don't meant to offend anyone but that's my opinion.

The only spirits I have ever seen is the one in some ones hand that I take from them just before I eject them from the premises however.....................................

Remember my ghost thread? Some people have seen some strange things :wack:

ChrisC will love it then

aint done ouija, but me mams into the spiritualist church in a big way (does all that healing and other strange stuff) but i can say i believe in ghosts 100% (or spirits as some peolple prefer to call them) even had my own experiences with them and when they happen to you so much you dont seem to get that scared of them anymore. But as others have said believe or not you still have to be carefull with what you mess around with. As for the orb thing ourlasses brother has one on his video phone that he took himself while trying it out

well my experience with the board and seeing a ghost hasn't done me any harm. I defo believe in ghosts as I have first hand experience. I quite fancy becoming a ghost hunter TBH ... if only I could make a living out of it ... I love paranormal stuff.

Guess I will be sticking to new media design though (bummer)

I agree with Friday. Dont mess around with these things?

I am (not being concieted) a very perceptive person. One of the traits needed to read Tarot. I did get involved with Tarot and believe it or not everyones reading was spot on correct. Not some but ALL. I wont go into details. But during the time that I was reading cards I had nothing but bad luck? I didnt notice this until after I stopped BTW. OK its so easy to mock but what I am saying is true. I wont do Tarot again EVER! or mess with anything such as the subject of this thread.

Although I dont really believe in ghosts I do believe that if you tempt fate it will bring you nothing but sorrow?

I could easily go on for hours on this subject because it is so interesting and I dont want to bore you. But:

That film white noise is a bit near the mark..?

Believer or non believer it doesn't matter. Messing around with these things will screw you're head up either way.

Very true. This kind of thing tends to attract two types of people, those that are doing it for a "laugh" and those that are potentially sensitive and quite vunerable. It's the second group that has to be careful, regardless of whether there's anything in it, as they're laying themselves wide open for a strong, negative, psychological reaction.

My wife , who's mother passed away when she was 10 years old has an understandable fascination with all things spiritual, and as much as she would like to contact a medium , and hopefully contact her mother, It deeply worries me what the longterm concequenses would be, If something negative came from it.

I Know where you're coming from leigh.

Speaking from experience, if you find the right medium, it can be of great comfort and aid the healing process. Unfortunately there are a lot of charlatans out there who just want the money and damn the consequences, exploiting the sorrow of others for their own ends. That kind of person makes me sick to the stomach TBH.

Well the world is certainly full of them........

Science is very good at explaining physics and the world around us, but is limited to physics.

Try explaining what a colour looks like to a person that has been blind from birth, no matter how hard you try to explain it scientificaly and in a logical way he just won't be able to perceive what it looks like because he just does not have the capability to do so! This may be the same with so called "supernatural" experiences like the Ouiga board. IMO.
