Am at work, went for a fag break and took a colleague out in the zed, just warmed it up and gave him a blast a couple of junctions down the M4 and back.

Got back to work and he's shaking like leaf!

well, to give him his due, he has got a rover 418 turbo deisel ! Only hit the 112 limit too ! Think it was the back end coming out on the corner that set the tone for the drive though!

I had quite an amusing afternoon a couple of weeks ago too.

 

Took a colleage out cause he is thinking about putting a dump valve on his Rover 220 Turb! and wanted to hear my SQVs. So, did the usual warming up and whilst trying to get out of a busy junction, I nailed it up to 4K revs.

 

When I changed gear, there was the usual PPSSSHHHHH and all I heard was "JESUS CHRIST" from my mate.

 

I said, in a pretty humble manner, "They are quite loud aren't they" and he goes "FORGET THE DUMP VALES, THIS IS FUCKIN WELL FAST. MUCH MUCH QUICKER THAN MINE AND MINE DONT HANG AROUND" and then he said....wait for it "I THINK I'LL BE LOOKING TO GET ONE OF THESE".

When I frist got mine I took some people from work out in it, one at a time. At some lights pulled of normally kept in 1st till about 3000rpm and then floored it. I think his exact words where

FUKIN'HELL!!!!!!

He said it was like a plane taking off. Heheh

 

lol, that was me today. Going out this morning to me nans driving well slow on the warmup. Anyway got to the bottom of the street, i twist my head round look if anythins coming then go "its cleeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar! shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!". That was the only time we got to nail it on the way. All the way there are speed traps of some form. on the way back was in the back, u get a perfect view of the boost guage from there. Its frustrating watching the boost hover around -7. The highest it went on the whole way back was about 0. Oh well, later tonight i can guarentee we will go a bit faster, the insane guage will be hovering over +7 for the most of it . I love having no other car than the Zed. Tomorrow i get to show off to me m8s in it 4 the first time properly.

I remember reading a review on a 300z in MSN cartalk "I don't know when I started, or when it ended, THAT ENGINE IS OVERKILL!" lol

3000rpm? maybe I need new tires, after 2400rpm my car peels out like a #$@%^@#$%

 

I read that somewhere too, the guy said his test drive was just a blur, hope he wasn;t driving
