radiator drain plugs!

im having problems locating the 2 radiator drain plugs on the bottom of the car - and the online manual diagram thing is not helping.

 

also , when i do find them eventually, it says i have to loosen air relaease plug to allow water to help drain and then apply sealant to the drain lug threaD! what is that about?

 

come on. z dude in need of help here?

Ben, the top drain plug is on the opposite end of the radiator to the filler cap. The bottom drain plug is directly bellow at the bottom of the rad - it has a lug on it and a pipe hanging down directly beneath....

Veilside take your bottom hose off to flush out your system,It will be much faster smile.gifYou will be able to piss faster than flushing it out by doing it that way biggrin.gif.

If you're looking for the drain plugs on the bottom of the crank case, then sorry - I couldn't find them either! The manual's no help at all.

 

BTW: MAC1's right - take the hose off. I tried the drain plug and the whole tap thingy started turning. The wee tube ended up pointing sky-wards.

its all done - i think !

 

just a bit confused though - how much do you put in before its full - [i know, yes keep fillin it, and start engine etc]

 

but i was wonderin, in halfords it says put in 5.5 litres buy in that online manual it says capacity is 10 wtf!

 

ive put about 2.75 l water and about 2 , 2.5 of anti plop. is that enought.

 

also .hold on , ill do a new post,
