Right guys, ive come up with something for the next meet.

As we discussed in the last post, ive decided to plan a route to take the zeds for the blast they deserve. :D

I wasnt too sure how far everyone wanted to drive but i thought Ossian had a good idea of driving up by Fort William.

Anyway, here's what i came up with

map.bmp

Here is the route.

A909 Kelty

A823

Powmill

Glendevon

Crieff

Lochearnhead

Glencoe

Fort William

Dalwhinnie

Blair Atholl

Kelty

Thats a total of 246 miles and nearly 5 hours driving time.

If the suns out its gonna be a cracking drive. Plenty good roads, plenty places to stop, nice and scenic and a wee bit motorway to open them up :D .

So what do you think guys? Good idea or a load o rubbish?

If it goes ahead, we'll start off around 10 on Sunday 3rd July. I would have like it to be a bit earlier but at least this gives us plenty time to arrange and i should have the zed back :D

Stick your names below if you are interseted.

If nobody fancies it, i'll get a simple meet arranged for a similar time.

Cheers

Scott

The show at Glamis Castle? Woops, silly me.

Hows does the 3rd sound then?

Or how about a drive up to glamis?

Ok Scott I'll be there anyway with tractors and stuff..I could try and setup a 300ZX owners club thing but think I'm pushing it time scale wise. P.s I'd look like a tit if no one showed up. Let me know what you think

Craig

10th is T in the park weekend, i might b able to make the 3rd tho. will confirm shortly

:slap: :slap: :slap:

Ok guys, the 3rd it is!

Craig, if i cant get my T in the park ticket soon ill see you at Glamis. Been up there the last couple of years.

My tyres are scrubbing really bad and just shelled £300 + for two fronts due to the car being lowered. Trying to sort out the problem but 246+ miles is a long way to go if there still scubbing! Il let you guys know if I can get it sorted! Might meet you guys at the end ! lol

Cars back on the road after passin mot so I'm up for the run 240mls .

have you checked for fuel stops :D

Just as well its after pay day or i'd have to rob a bank to fill the fooker up !!

Nice one Ossian.

Ermmmm.. nope not checked for fuel stops. :p Just fill up first. 240 miles will be no bother. ;) It is a long drive, but f**k it. Once a summer wont do any harm. Thats what they're for. :nana2:

Ok, here's a list of names. Feel free to add/remove your name.

piedpipercl, if you think it will be a bit dodgy on the tyres, feel free to just meet up at somepoint on the drive.

Yes, I think this could be on for me too, just have to check a couple of diary things. 240 is a full tank, and that excludes getting to/from start/finish. Five hours could be optimistic. Very slow roads round Crief (well, not so much the roads, rather traffic slowing one down). Sunday traffic can be a real drag...

Peter

Edinburgh

Looking good guys. Remember your cameras. :D

peter, 5 hours probably is a little optimistic. I just put rough speeds into auto route and thats what it came up with. Doesnt include stopping time either.

has any one planned the meeting place/stops yet? i dont know the roads that well round those parts.

hope it stays dry should be a good run!

Thats next sunday then! Il give it a go then! Does anyone know where I can get a camber kit and if this will help my tyre problem?

Long drive so not much time to talk and admire the other zeds but count me in!

Yup.

Put me on the list as well.

Installing the leather seats can wait for another day.

As can the service, and the subs/amp, and the headunit, etc.

Most important thing is the run.

:)

Guys, ive just found out i wont be getting my zed back 'til the 8th.

I'll try to come along with one of my mates in their car, but i aint doing it in my 1L polo.

If i cant make it, would anyone like a copy of the map/route etc..?

ye, i dont know the roads well at all, so i dont know where to meet up and where we'd b going.

sorry to here you wont be getting your car back.

Tell me about it. I'm gutted. Ah well, will be worth it in the end.

I'll make up copies of map, route, possible stops etc and send them to everyone.

Cheers

Scott
