Anyone know how this is done? Seemed not very straightforward and i cant find any posts? I saw the motor screws is it that simple?

yep...remove the motor mounting screws after taking the wiper arm/electrical connector off, It might be a bit stuck due to the metal corrosion within the mount.

Be patient..tap gently on the shaft (nut on) and it should pop out..

oops. Think im on the wrong forum.. :D

ill give it another go cheers...Just couldnt see what else to do other than unscrew the motor as it all seems a bit enclosed on the outside...

i had to remove mine and my front arms today, the back is covered by a plastic flip up cover, underneath is a nut undo it and then lift the arm upright(as if you were doin the windows) and wiggle back and fore and pop.. up it comes..

i have to give thanks to andyz for that..

also one other point after cleaning them down with a drill attatched round wire brush, i then cleaned the bare metal with a de-greaser and dust remover, then gave it some primer(2 coats more than enough) of plasti-kote primer, then i covered them with satin black plasti-kote after the primer had dried.

they look fkn georgeous now.. saved me buying new arms for a while..

plasti-kote is very good for wiper arms etc, its very hard wearing, another good one is pectra paint this eats in to the metal or plastic for a good bond coat.
