Evening all,

I've just seen a Zed that had a very different ventilation system to mine. With my system you can't tell the climate control through which ducts the air should come out, i.e., top, middle or along the footwell. The one I've just seen has a similar display unit but with the addition that by pressing the "high speed fan" button it allows you to determine which vents to use. I'm now wondering whether it is as simple as getting a second hand control assembly (seen loads at breakers) or whether the two systems are incompatible. Incedentally, the car was a UK spec J-reg.

Any thoughts?

PS - I know this is a crap description but it's late and I'm knackered ... my apologies.

The system you describe is a Series II climate control system, versus the Series I system..

Unfortunately, AFAIK, you can't just swop the displays and get all the functionality - the vent system is also different, and control board etc..

Danny,

That's the difference I mentioned when sitting in your car. Mine is a Series II

Got it guys! Many thanks for explaining that.

Pitty really, I would have quite liked a Series II system.
