it´s the 3th time in a short time that the bottom rad hardpipe just loosend itself from the silicone connection bit. This obviously means that i´m losing all my coolant which is not good  . The last time I made very sure the pipe and silicone bit were verry wel connected (used two clips!!) and it still blew off. What is causing this???

Kinda think I found the answer. The Smithy pipe has no grip on the end of the pipe like the Stillen one and the silicone will get very slippery when wet. This in combination with the nismo radiator cap (more pressure) causes the pipe to `free´ itself from the silcone connecting elbow.

Well i can´t afford to ruin my engine by losing coolant all the time, so a Stillen kit for me then :(

Bloomin eck, you found the problem in an hour ! between posts too.

Don't recall selling you a kit of mine ? however feel free to email me smithy@manx.net and i can arrange a bead rolled one for yer, however i would still be worried if i was you, not something that i've heard of happening before and my own one (with a greddy cap on) has been on for over 4 years fella.

cheers

smithy

hardpipe kit was the best thing i done to the cooling systym, knowing water flow wont be restricted in anyway

No probs here either........ but then it only been on for 4 weeks  ;)

I would be seriously concerned about the pressure in your water system bud, I have had my smithy hard kit on both my NA and now the TT for two years, both with a NISMO cap and never had this issue.

Well I´m glad to say that I can end this thread on a positive note.

After the tread got started he immidiatly tried to solve the problem. He is going to arrange a bead rolled pipe for me that will probably cure my problem.

So a big thanks to Smithy and the way he deals with his customers.

Well most of you probably know this already, but it´s a pleasure doing business with him. :)
