I am in the early stages of planning to retrim my dash/doorcards/etc. myself but am unsure how much fabric I'm gonna need. The basic design will stay the same, but everything tweed will be replaced with one type of fabric, and everything else with something else (not telling what yet ;)).

So, has anyone done this, or does anyone have retrim experience and can tell me how much square footage of fabric I'll need? (not seats though - haven't decided what to do woth them yet!)

Answers on a postcard please :D

I used 3 Metres of Black leather-like vinyl to replace all my tweed. Plus another metre for mistakes. Cost was a bargain £7 per metre from Fabric shop.

i got a vinyl kit in gray at baggins at the mo, you can borrow that to measure up mate should av it in about 2 weeks any good. i'm only taking a pattern myself.
