M25 Speed camera`s (NZR)

Hi guys, following on from many threads about speccy camera`s etc,Made a hasty return home from France this morning (1:00am)

anti-clockwise on the M25 from Dartford crossing to M1 North,Question can these things distinquish No. plates in the dark? The wife`s Ford Focus was zipping along very well and seemed a shame to loose the momentum once it was going, but every bridge or gantry had me thinking so kept tucking behind other cars. But had a thought do they view from behind as well? Got to say actually did not see any or was it just too dark? Jeff TT (In need of reassurance)

I'm not aware of any Specs cameras on the M25. Are there any?

There are quite a few normal cameras round the west side though.

If you mean the normal speed cameras BTW - I've found that 80% of the gantrys have no cameras, and the variable speed limit bits the cameras are off if no limit is up (well thats what my S5 tells me anyway)

As far as I know they fuck you for anything over 90 and there alot of live ones.

Bastards.

I may add that I only really use the m25 from A3 to A1 Heathrow side, so I shouldn't have bothered to reply wink.gif

:)

Glen, you're right, that side of the M25 is pretty nasty. However, the side Jeff is talking about is the same route I use to go shopping at Bluewater. I dont believe there are any cameras on the M1 to Dartford tunnel stretch. If there are, they must be triggered by astronomical speeds only or I'd be in prison right now wink.gif

Lol Andy!

Yeah My snooper goes so wild on the Heathrow stretch I turn the thing off and JUST OBEY the speed limits hehe

Only time i ever tried the east side was picking up my car from Chris F in Essex, got lost ended up going off towards bloody channel tunnel or something!

i use the m25 between the m3 and the a21 evry day and do a steady 95 all the way both to and from work, if there's a limit on the gantry I'll take note but otherwise I have never been flashed or received any nasty letters, been using it for about 2 years now. Think we are safe for the time being smile.gif
