no not thousands but over a 1k 1200-1500 id say inc turbos,engine out job as you know

 

z-tech do it at reasonable cost speak to ryan hes very helpful

Sorry Greg, I have edited the title, its not in a Z, its a friends RX7 with a single huge Garrett turbo, which is quite easy to remove, and I was wondering is the actual seal replacement expensive? I assume it has to be stripped and rebuilt/rebalanced? Can ryan do these turbos.

Can be done yourself, think the race spec stepgap seals i bought for mine were about 11 quid each. but you are right you have to strip the whole tubo down to do them. Have a look at my write up in the FAQ engine section.
