got my Zed back after having new new hybrid turbos fitted 2day

car is running sweet and everything

anyway

took it for a MOT and the bloke noticed some oil leaking from the passenger turbo (on the floor, there was a small patch)

phoned the company up and he said it was normal for a bit of oil to be on the floor, he said it was prob just what was on the turbo, they prime them with no pipes on??

bit lost, the work is garrented so thats not a prob, any every had this before??

car failed on a blocked washer jet FFS!!!! :-(

any ideas? he told me to run them in for 250 miles which i thought is not enough and get a oil change at 250 miles which is fair enough

what u guys think?

Any kind of oil leak is not a good thing especially from a tub. Yes you do have to prime them with oil so it could be that but those tubs get so hot it would probably burn it off before it driped. Does not sound good if there was a patch of oil on the floor. Keep a close eye on it and if it is still the same after a day then take it back!

oil feed pipes might be leaking from the bango at best passenger side is slightly easier to access hope all is ok

id deffo take it back too mate !! last thing u want is oil starvation on a new set of tubs !!

pissed off as i want the car done ASAP!! :(

FFS, some garages should be shot! take it back. there should be no leaks, esp if its enough to actually drip on the floor!!!!

its still leaking so itsgoing straight back

not happy about it at all!! :-(

Mark, still waiting on a cheque for the boost leak detector.

Surely if the turbo's are changed, as a matter of course the engine oil and filter should be changed irrespective of when it was last changed, small price to pay as contaminated oil does damage to bearings etc,

Oopsie then change it again after 250 miles, new turbo's=new oil/filter to me.
