help!! i have been trying to sort out my central locking cant find a problem apart from

 

there seems to be an old alarm system does any body have a wiring colour code chart and wiring diagram for the central locking system

 

can anybody tell me what the boxes are in the attached pics there are two by the locking mechanism assuming one is the alarm lock motor in drivers door the other??

 

also the two bolted to the door in the middle one is the window control box what is the other one ??

The black one looks like the window control box,the grey one,dunno unless it's an interface for a total closure alarm??-And why is there a horn in your door?? :o :wack:

if u look close there are two sirens lol

 

did the z have an optional alarm it looks pretty old and origional

The black one is defo the control module for the electric window, I know as I'm having trouble with mine at the moment :headvswal . The grey one is defo NOT standard. Yeah, and why do you have a horn in your door, cant see it being very loud in there :confused:

Sounds like you and me might have the same problem. I have no response from my central locking and my left door electric window doesnt work (my motorized mirros do). Dunno what alarm the previous owner had in, but I know it had a lot of connections from all the wiring stumps in my car. Same with my ICE- just a stump, speakers and radio obviously arent hooked up. Andyz suggested this is the wreckage of a total closure alarm.

 

To fix it I'm just gonna give my car to a nearby auto electrician and say 'sort it', he charges £40 an hour but it shouldn't take more than a day, if I strip the interior first that might make it easier.
