I WILL PROBABLY GET A SLAGGING,BUT WHAT THE HELL HERE GOES

isnt cleethorpes part of the midland area

JACk (maxsunny) is organising a car show at cleethorpes, and you midland boys have decided to stab him in the back and have a meet in solihull instead

nice strong club we all belong to?

you all moan about wanting good meets and taking your zeds for a good blast in the summer

what the **** do you want

hopefully a nice sunny day on the coast

loads of modded motors

good pubs,loads a totty

take the wife n kids to the pleasure beach (earn some brownie points)

booked in 20+ skylines

10+ gto + loads of others

and a misserable 3 zeds

going to be on men and motors and some mags

we all go on about how good this club is, yet we cant stick together and show our strengh when a fellow member asks for it

SHAME ON US ALL

 well said mate

and with lots of tropys to give away

Er...probably should stay out of this and I might be wrong (tends to happen to me a lot! :D) but I have a feeling the meet at Solihull was set up many months ago on a rotational basis with three (or four) other meet venues. Which kind of changes the whole "who's stabbing who" scenario maybe? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong somebody! :D

according to the threads

mids meet 12th june put up on 1st june

cleethorpes show put up on 9th jan

but that isnt the point

we have got a fellow zed member putting himself out for a really good show

and no-one is interested

i bet the scubie club and the skyline club are laughing at us

a load of wanabies

all mouth and no trousers

lets stand up and be counted

Although I see where you're coming from, there are some other points to consider here...........

1) There is a much bigger percentage that DO NOT attend ANY shows whats so ever, than do attend them. But they have their reasons, and thats up to them.

2) The more shows that we have, the better it is as they are normally spread out across the country, that way people do not have to travel all that far for at least one show in the year.

3) **And this is in no way meant as dis-respectfull to Maxsunny** Some of these 'General' shows can be seen, to some, as a bit 'Chavish', and some wouldn't want to be associated (sp) with that fraternity!

At the end of the day the more shows that we can attend, the better. And it is the midlands area that produces and attends the most shows anyway.

All IMHO ;)

i know what you are saying but the chav things a bit harsh mate!!!!

did you read the first thread in the show section! this show is for 1 thing only to rasie as much cash for charity " whish up on a star" to send kids who have months to live to a holiday of a life time before they die!!! we raise over £5k a year for this charity and a local charity not one abroad!!!

no profit is made form this show to line any pockets.

we have drag cars coming down on show and many other types of cars+bikes

its not about been on show with other chav cars its all about giving somthing back to those who need it more than us

where the fook is cleothorpes besides when i get my fookin car back from the bodyshop id attend some of these meets especially if charity is involved, like send the friggin cheques to me im skint FFS :D

I would happily attend every show/meet going mate, unfortanately I'm usally up to me bo**ocks with other things[mainly car related] and I don't like to take the pi55 keep asking someone to give us a lift! ;)

But trust me,once the beast is finished, all I'll want to do is drive it!!

its on the east coast near skegness mate !!!

all mouth and no trousers

lets stand up and be counted

Two reasons

1) you have to book well in advance and I can't commit as my work is variable and unpredictable.

2) getting anywhere for 8.30am is not good for me. I would rather beat my entire family to death with a hammer than do this. I'm planning a nice foreign holiday soon and I'm planning that round never getting up before midday too.

i know what you are saying but the chav things a bit harsh mate!!!!......

I never say it was my opinion, but some will see it like that. But most wont respond to this thread!!!!

this show is for 1 thing only to rasie as much cash for charity

Surely that's one reason the show is happening (and an excellent and admirable one) but not the only reason. Far from it.

how do you mean not the only reason mate???

how do you mean not the only reason mate???

Surely it's just one reason although it is a very, very a good one?

But other reasons are having a good day out, seeing cars etc etc etc.

I don't mean to be arsey. I think it's a great idea and would go if I could. But I can't.

lads can i just say 1 thing i never started this thread !!! and i know a lot of people have problems with going to these shows all around the country so just to point out i do not have any bad feelings if no one comes to my show or not.

just thought i would clear that up

i have had lots of problems with work and car in the garage dead so havent made it to lots of the club shows my self

i just dont wont to be the only zed on show this year and all the other jap car clubs ganging up on me and my little zed

firefox booked and confirmed !!! so there will be 2 300zx on show and hes comeing from scotland

if anyone is wanting to be on a club stand you must ring me on 07879680606 or pm me as you have to be booked in !!!

the dead line was last month but i can make some room for this club and push some skyline boys to the back lol

I don't like to talk about my charity work mate .. soz ...

PMSL :D

maxy mate was fully intending to come to the show as i'm sorta from that way but with a new engine in din't want to drive the 217 miles that it is. as it turns out i wont have the car back anyway. soz to let you down

I WILL PROBABLY GET A SLAGGING,BUT WHAT THE HELL HERE GOES

isnt cleethorpes part of the midland area

I dont go in for slagging, this is just me talking. Its my view only.

First thing... I work about 48 out of 52 Saturdays every year, and have done for 20 odd years. So anything on a Sat is usually out for me.

Autoroute says Cleethorpes is 1hr 50 mins away. So to be "on site" for 8.30am means leaving home at 6.30am, so getting up at 5.30am on my only whole day off work in the week. No way.

Cleethorpes??? Me?? They dont go together. Sorry I dont like the place (nor Skegness either) so no pleasure for me. The journey, 90 miles of Motorway 5 miles of main road into Grimsby, and the same home...Boring and tedious

June? I did a Z Club meeting at my house this weekend, Im going to Santa Pod on Jun 19th(part of the Drag Challenge series). My daughter needs fetching home from Uni(another Sunday).

My car at a show? It is a lower order car bought primarily to go drag racing. It is downright scruffy in comparison to many. So I have no great interest in "showing" it.

A Max power type show??? Not for me thanks. I like "all Jap" shows fine and also "classic type" show like Tatton Park. But neither this Cleethorpe Show nor the big one a Doncaster is personally interesting to me.

Its for a charitable cause?. Great! Just PM me your address or "Maxsunnys" and Ill happily send a donation.

So there you go. One midland members view.

Oh I almost forgot its me birthday too, so maybe my kids might like to have Dad at home for just one day.

A tad harsh Pete.
