Huge elastic band stretched between two lamp-posts? :D

Sorry mate - just kidding with you :)

I think that the lightened pulley sets that Smithy sells might be a good one for you.

manifolds on a N/A are meant to be a very good mod.

underdrive pulley & lightweight flywheel (if its a manual!) would be beneficial.

cams, headwork etc etc how much money you got!?!? LOL

Next step would be a chip. Speak to Danny at DTA in our traders section.

Then, what PaulC said!

I am looking at getting a chip from AndyP for mine then nitrous.

Would it be a good idea to put nitrous on N/A?

From what i've read on other zx sites, the compression ratio in N/A is tottaly diff to that in a TT engine and anything over 300bhp and you are risking blowing it up!! :(

get it tuned to 299bhp :smash: TBH you would struggle to get an NA above 300bhp anyhow! infact by the time you have spent silly money doing so you may aswell by a TT and pay for insurance

If you can fit nitrous to a Astra you can fit it to a Z i dont know what other sites you have been looking at but as above (noncense). You can get a direct port wet feed system which i have read is a lot better and safer than dry shot.

quite right, there is no problem using Nitrous with a N/A, but you should definitely use the wet shot system. The last thing you want to do is run too lean!

I'm toying with the idea of Nitrous, my mechanic has said he can install a really decent set up (including aircraft switchs and purging ability) for £850.

My question is, should I be looking at getting a remapped ECU first, and what are the downsides of remapping the ECU?

anyone here have 350hp+ nitrous installed on a standard N/A, and has been driving it hard most times at events and such without any probs, then contact me with your supplier/fitters info LOL

NA tuning with Nitros is more popular in Japan and the US. Perhaps check out twinturbo.net

i just want to know if anyones stock engine survived with that much power

easily, and plenty more..... same internals as the TT

Compression ratio is not really an issue. It can be altered.

How about Supercharging ;)

"Compression ratio is not really an issue. It can be altered"

how?

pull the engine out??

we talkin' TT type jobbie here lol

how much power can the engine take before the compression needs altering????

"How about Supercharging"

that's something i'm looking into at the mo :smash:

Thicker Metal head gasket. But no idea at what point that would be needed.

Have a Word with Ryan @ Ztech ;)

seems to be cheaper and easier to do a TT job rather than s/charge.

Sounds even better, but deep down i know it will never be done
