just been to local halfords to get an oil filter and Castrol RS10/60 Oil.

 

A. They dont stock that oil - but 10/40 is exactly the same they say??!? FFS

B. They have no oil filters for a 300zx or a Fairlady even, they cant get them, they do not exist!!! I was waiting for the young lad to ask me if I was sure my car actually needed an oil filter as it doesnt show up on their computers!! :)

 

so Im now stuck - gonna try some local motor spares in the morning.

For filters go to nissan main dealer, only about a fiver, oh and make sure you get a sump plug ring too.

The DO sell them, they just don't know they do!! I bought one from them, a Champion one ref: C109. The oil filter is the same as quite a few other Nissans, including the Micra I believe!

Halfords dont list a filter for the z but the one you need is a C105 I think. They do stock them but dont list them. Motorworld list and stock them, £4.99 I think.

 

Fill

Champion C109, they also do a Halfords own brand but I wouldn't touch it.

If you find a decent motor factor (I use MotorQuip) they will have a suitable filter and hopefully Morris 10/50 fully synth oil.
