Hi All.

Having fitted the decat and cat back exhaust I am about to fit an apexi

air filter but am wondering if the induction is now going to be beyond the

limits of the maf and ecu resulting in lean running.

If this is the case is it time to get the ecu chipped and a boost controler

fitted ,I take it that will sort it out.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

I dont know about the catback system or whether it will be beyond the original limits (need someone clever for that) but if it was me i'd disconect my battery for a couple of hours and that should reset the ECU to "learn" the requirements again.

I would also get a chip as a natural proggression of things esspecially before fitting a boost crontroller as if you up the boost then you will definately need a chip to keep up with the extra fuel/air.

Are you running booster jets already???

Someone much more knowledgable should be along shortly

nah the stock afm, chip and injectors can handle those mods easily. like Steve says, an ECU upgrade would be the next thing to do and will be able to make better use of your gain in power.
