not sure if box is going but the gear changes dont seem to be as smooth and when i go in to park it seems to now tick over at nearly 1900rpm instead of my norm 650ish, any ideas what this prob is???

Featured Replies

I know when I put mine into park the revs do rise for a moment and then settles to normal idle speed. Not sure if it goes to 1900 revs though! sounds daft but have you checked oil level?

Check the TPS when mine was set wrong it had these symtoms.

sorry, what is the "tps"??

throttle position sensor, you need a volt meter to measure the volts across two of the cables, and adjust the sensor to get the correct voltage 0.5v i think ? but i cant remember wot ones, can anyone help?

try disconnecting the grey plastic connector right next o the tps while the engine is running - then reconnect it. When you disconnect it the car may complain for a second bu then should settle down. Then reconnect it back. See how that goes. That of course is after you make sure the voltage for the TPS is set at 0.45v...Ther is a write up on twinturbo.net on how to set it.
