& no its not free! ;)

theres a free trial one though isnt there

its on the twin turbo website under conzult?

that one .. yea but it is a DIY interface. I think it is limited in functionality but cool if you are a wiz with a soldering iron etc ... ;-)

Hi. Yes there is a trial version of the conzult, but you have to buy or make an interface to conect to the pc and diagnostic plug in the car.

The demo is communications-crippled (i.e. it won't actually talk to anything on the serial port of your PC).. to stop you downloading the demo and then getting all of their R&D and hard work for free, basically. At least, it was last time I looked.

There is a project about, somewhere, for making your own interface board (not the simplest bit of kit in the world IIRC, timer ICs, things like that to sync the odd signal to a standard RS232 signal) and a project to create free diagnostic software. Not sure it's up to the standard of the ConZult, though - but then I've not looked at it.

Here we go, I'm sure there was stuff about it here - http://www.tangentrix.com/forums/

Personally, I'd just buy the ConZult ;) (Oh.. wait.. I did :) Admittedly secondhand, but..)

[edit: Ok, so the demo version works with the DIY interface board then.. didn't know that :D]
