Hope he enjoyed it, what about the car :x: :D

I like the rexs but the only thing I don't like is the engines made of glass and the probably single figure fuel economy :(

Yep u not wrong mate , I have a rx7 for a good few years and i must say excellent and great fun cars. But be very wary about imports and higher milage ones ( over 60k ) as the rotor tips wear out and once they wear , they cannot create a seal anymore and you will have startup issues majorly !! If the are worn out u will be able to start when cold but once warm if u shut engine off and go to restart it wont !! Thats unless u know a trick which includes putting in transmission fluid to recreate a seal again , but only a temp fix. Handling was great and power on tap. Id deffo get another but would have to get either a uk low milage or a higher milage and be prepared for a rebuild. Luckily there are a few good RX7 specialists.

Yeah and a full engine rebuild is about 1200 squids including uprated and stronger rota tips. Cost me that much just to have the heads skimmed and ported/polished on my Z FFS! :(

Well if you will go to those expensive 'massage parlours'....

Yep , i was quoted anywhere between 1200-1600 depending what i wanted so no too bad really and id deffo advise the stronger rotor tips .

LMAO :D

You're 'avin' a bubble ain't ya?

Can get alot more in the boot, storage boxes behind the drivers seat and boot up front on my MR than I could EVER get in the Z! ;) At least 2 x Tesco carrier bags full of bog rolls.

OK, so I was exagerating a little, and I'm sure nobody has ever bought a Zed for the luggage space :)

but on a serious note, I can fit 2 sets of golf clubs in my Zed.

I love my Zed...

Yep and loadsa room in the engine bay for upgrades aswell, cracks me up looking under the bonnet of a Rex...engine only fills about half of it! Cool. ;)

i love my z but id like a supra with single turbo conversion sod that sequantial crap :D

Deffo the RX7 - was a close thing between the Z and an RX7 when I bought but I'd wanted a Z ever since they came out so went with the heart in the end :D

Or ideally, ever since Test Drive the computer game, a 2.2 Turbo Lotus Esprit but the running costs are phenonemol.

well nowing what i know now i would of bought a subaru, if honest, sorry guys but really fed up with zed at mo, , if i didnt buy the zed i would of kept me rover ti, still she will be on the road again soon enough,, then ill be happy agian, sad aint it , !!!

No.1 Honda NSX

No.2 Corvette

No.3 Renault Alpine

or a Renault Fuego GTX (that one purely for nostalgic reasons) :D

1. Granada Scorpio Cosworth (the older 5 door version)

2. Toyota MR2 Turbo

3. Vauxhall Calibra 2.5 V6

All emminently affordable - it's just a case of finding one in the right condition

There are quite a few typical choices here, some respectable interesting choices....and quite worryingly, some truly awful choices that make you wonder how some of you managed to succesfully choose a 300zx in the first place
