There is a new scam out there. Coonts phone you up on your mobile claiming to be from your service company and ask if you want a new upgrade, offer is always too refuse and seems to differ.

When your intrested they ask you for details then they want you banking details.

Dont do it. Couple of my mates have already replied to my warning emails saying they have had the call already, fortuatly neither where intrested.

Just thought I would let you know

I had that, they said I was ready for mobile upgrade, I said, hang on, I've only had it for 2 months, I thought you had to have it for a minimum of 12 months, they then promptly hung up :xxx:

i had that too - they said they were from a company called Mobile Mania or something like that. said i could choose a free phone. they got my suspicions up when they said i could a) flog my old one on e-bay (or even flog my NEW one on e-bay if i didnt like it!!!), and b) asked for my address. i said "dont you already have my address?", he said it's just to 'confirm'. :xxx:

I aint had it yet but when i do i will know. Nice post mate. Although i must add if anyone (even my mother) phoned me and asked for my bank details I would tell them to get stuffed?

Love you mum...X
