I will never give anything to anyone ever again...

Me Mom buys a new sofa our current one was £1200 2 years back.

THERE IS FECK ALL WRONG WITH IT, If you look closely the Arms could do with a steam clean. You would think some poorer person would think theyd hit gold if the bought it in the charity shop for £100 or whatever.

So she goes into St Giles Hospice and says you can come and get it in the morning for free....

so he comes but one thing they didnt tell me mom is they check em first,

so he stands there scanning it like hes buying a 50k supercar, (chris reminds himself were giving it away for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR fecks sake!!!!!!!!!!!)

any he hums and ars

then says sorry its to worn to go in the shop, If you pay someone £70 theyll collect it for you and rubbish tip it!!!

WTF

someone would have had a right deal with it.. but I forgot EVERYONE in this country is so well off they can afford /demand anything they want..

Doll dossers must be entitled to LCD TV's

and Pensioners are not as poor as they make out

Unless its an individual person who is in need I will not give feck all to anyone again

Rant rant!!!

good point there mate, my uncle was gonna run the london marathon 2 years ago - asked cancer research for some sponsor sheets and they said that they wanted £700 up front just in case he didnt raise enough!!!!!!

hes a well liked bloke and would of easily raised a couple of grand but because of their attitude he told em to fook off and gave it to a local hospice!

the ingratitude of the charity shop workers really pisses me off sometimes! its almost as if their being hard done by by you bringing your stuff down - **** off im doing you a favour you ****!!!

needed that, thank you

I've seen jobs advertised for charity co-ordinators / fund raisers etc at £60K PA sometimes.

I think many organised charities are lazy / grasping / corrupt / inefficient.

dont get me started.....!

oh whats to say except if you want an army of unpaid voulenteers, avoiding tax and banking charges, peppercorn rents, occupation of the high moral ground, the right to sell new goods, publishing rights, selling knowledge, and the ultimate customer service put down should you dare to complain....WE ARE A CHARITY DONT YOU KNOW..!!

not to mention the scams in selling books clothing furniture to middlemen/traders for cash...and letting governments off the hook...who would have to step in but dont safe in the knowledge a do-gooder somewhere will instead

rant over....ps i used to work in a charity no disrespect to those who give time for free but its the system that stinks
