This may be a stupid question, but I have just been to the body shop who have fitted my new 99 front bumper to a 1995 import. The old indicators are indicators and sidelights combined, the new ones which go with the 99 bumper are indicators only. My foglights have sayed in place.

So as he said to me, "where are your sidelights then" I did not have and answer, I hope one of you do! Thanks.

Are the indicaters normally just indicators then or sidelights and indicaters combined? The ones I have taken out are definately combined. Is mine different being a series 4? Will check if my fogs come on when I turn on sidelights.

You could always stick em' in the 99' spec indicators like I did!-I fitted non-original fogs,so used a couple of ''twist fit'' sidelight holders found in most h/lights. ;)

From what I can remember...

- On imports the Fogs and Sidelights are shared, and the Indicators are seperate.

- On Uk cars the Indicators and side lights are shared (and the outside indicators lenses are blank)

The 99 spec was only available as an Import, so it should use the same setup as pre-99spec Import.

The original indicators that I have taken out of the original bumper are defininately sidelights anfd indicators combined. Definately an import, purchased it myself from Japan!

The square light unit is a combined sidelight and indicator unit..and the outer lense units are just dummy lenses ?

If so, then you have the same as UK spec front bumper, must be a Series 4 thing.

Did you buy the additional required Indicator lghts with the 99 spec bumper ?

Yes I bought the 99 bumper and indicators from Nissan, they did me a deal.

Just trying to decide if I should put sidelights in Indicator or fogs, new indicators would be easier as they are aready out. It just depends if there is enough room for them.

The '90 bulb holders are quite different from '99. On my black Z I put the sidelights into the '99 indicator lamp assembly - used Z side repeater bulb holders. For the indicators I used Skyline rear bulb holders, a perfect fit.
