Wee question.
Back in the day when Custom Car was king and I bought Street Machine Magazine, power mods invariably started with bigger carbs and a lumpy camshaft (usually fast road cam).
Nowadays, you get ecu's, air intakes, exhaust upgrades as the way forward.
What is the reason for this?
Can the standard camshafts be replaced for power versions?
Is this a waste of limited funds?
Do modern engine management systems not accept the re-profiled cams?
Just wondering.
