PTU is gone. YOu need to get a new one.

About £100 it will be.

or repair it!! (done mine as a tempory measure only) details on andyp's site.

Of course a series 1 will see you out of a jam! At that price its worth it.

I say that cos I was selling a series 1 once and someone said on my "for sale" thread for not to anyone to bother! So just wanted to clear that up, lol.

James, can you help?

BTW small world another Zed in the Paisley area.....i'm in Barrhead.

Cheers hope this helps John Crisp

Craig the S2 PTU has an adaptor loom in both sides of the PTU to connect to the origional plugs.

Did mine about 6 months ago and it's still going strong, interesting to see how long it lasts.

i removed the silly silver strands & soldered some fine copper core wire instead, would probably outlast a new one TBH!!

when car is running the warer temp gage jumps up & down but car is not overheating :hurl:

The water temp gauges are useless anyway. Your best bet is to buy an aftermarket gauge.

id get aftermarket gauge and plumb the sender it to the top hose either using a sandwich adaptor by greddy chris@getgreddy sells them in the traders section IIRC

or get a smithy hardpipe kit and get him to weld sender in to top metal hose

also in traders section
