Remove the CAS but mark position of the 3 10mm bolts that secure it, so you know you put it back correct, with ignition on and CAS removed but still plugged into harness, turn the spindle at the back slowly and you should here the injectors clicking, if not, like me a coincidence ( 4 years ago) the CAs has gone down whilst your in the middle of other works.worth a try at least....

Paul the injectors are still working. Just no spark. Does that mean the CAS is ok or not.

It wouldn't suprise me if it just decided to say night all because I'm sure this car is just out to spite me regardless how much I throw at it.

Doesnt complete loss of spark point to PTU?

Put new series II on and subsequently discoverd that both the second hand series 1 I bought and my original PTU are fine.

worth checking CAS as on inspection of a z the other day the half moon shaped flange to the camshaft had corroded and broke. plenum off replace camshaft,im sure it aint that but worth a look at the CAS connections, bit of a long shot.check you have a good earth also especially for the PTU

Mark, if your really stuck call Jeff, he'll guide you through some diagnostics to find the root of the problem. ;)

Mark.

Try checking your PTU connections and maybe put on your old one that worked fine, just in case it is a faulty new one!

Are you saying you took off your clifford alarm or that you just got one installed, maybe check your connections there?

Yeah, make sure you don't have a confused imobiliser that's screwing up the ignition. After that, try the CAS thing like Smithy suggested.

My thoughts exactly, was working before the Clifford gimps took the alarm out :xxx: :smash:
