Hey guys just bought my first zed this month after years of wanting one ( My brother had one untill he got a R33 GTR last year. What a car ..... its a red tt manual targa one with ferrari rear lights, 19s, and rear diffuser, AP racing brake conversion, and full tein coilover suspension etc. It was advertised as having 380BHP but havent quite figured if this is accurate. I know it has a full system with cat replacements, Air filter and its running 14 boost. It was advertised as being stage 2 but the guy said it isnt chipped so im guessing an actuaror or something! It is fast........ really fast but do you guys rekon it can be 380BHP with these mods. Does anyone know what Stage 2 is????

Also does anyone know if the big wheels affect the speedo ..... I have had her showing 160MPH but felt like warp speed!!!!

I dont understand how you can run 14 psi safely without the chip being remapped or socketed with an aftermarket chip.

 

Do you have a boost Controller? .. boost jets?

 

I personally dont think you will be running 380 bhp, sure someone more technical will help further ..

Your could be getting 380bhp (flywheel) if everything is setup correctly...which its not as ECU not remapped. You should get an uprated ECU Chip asap (not very expensive - Under £100).

 

The car will not be running sufficient fueling and timing maps for the increased boost.

 

Bigger wheels affecting speedo - depends wether the correct external cirumference has been kept the same.

 

Whats the Full tyre sizes ?

 

Speedo will be pretty inaccurate at high speed anyway.

I agree with Legrath, havent got a clue on the wheels though lol ...

you can run small amount of boost with stock chip about 12psi is fine after that the duty cycle is a bit maxed out so a good idea would be to fit a nice safe chip like jwt,which can be fitted by ryan@z-tech 07968166640

 

as for the wheels it5 may throw the speedo out a bit but your talking 5mph max at lower speeds maybe less,i think you can calibrate speedo to ajust actual speed,buy a snooper which picks up speed via satelite then ajust

I have receipts for £11000 but cant see anything that would up the boost. I think it must be chipped but the guy I bought it from told me it wasnt ...... but most of the receipts are from the guy who had the car before him so......

 

Is there an easy way I can tell if it has been chipped?

to see if the car is chipped remove the passenger floormat and 4x10mm bolts remove wooden floor there you will see the ECU remove screws holding ECU in remove harness carefully,remove ECU remove ECU cover and you will find the chip if it is stock it will be soldered in. if aftermarket it will have a socket and the chip will be just pushed in to the socket,if your running 14psi i would presume you have boost jets,remove actuator pipes underneath intercooler hoses in engine bay and check for any jets installed!
