There are two on Autotrader at the moment......both QV's one black with white leather and delivery mileage and the other white with white leather.........what a dilemma !!!

Which one if the lottery comes up ?

I know there will be people who say 'ugh' but they are fantastic examples of one of the most iconic cars of all time......just to own one would be amazing !

Not as amazing as owning my Z of course !!

probably go for the black one as i dont really like cars in white.

not really into those type of exotic cars .

always wanted one of those, even today its hard to imagine that it was designed in about 1970!!

They were my dream car when i was a young 'un'. Still love em now. What a piece of motoring engineering. Lets not forget the Diablo!!

[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

The Diablo isn't too dissimilar to the Countach, it shares the same "all in one" engine/transmission arrangement which I would not like to work on!

every one (except Vinz) had a countach poster on there wall. (next to the girl playing tennis scratching her arse)

Quite like em TBH, cant say they were ever my fave as a kid, but i still had the obligatory poster :D

I think Vinz had a screen print of the Model 'T' didnt he!!

diablo over the contach both look like tanks but for the flashyness

countach looked great, went like stink but.....

No power steering!!!!

Turning circle of a coach..

A Murcielago passed me on the M5 wednesday, sounded gorgeous!!

btw do you know what Murcielago means??

I found out the other day...

every one (except Vinz) had a countach poster on there wall. (next to the girl playing tennis scratching her arse)

bugger i thought it was only me

regards,

alex

p.s. the girl was between the QV2000 and the 308 quattro valvole

is it the cow??

They are a pain in the ass to reverse in as you cannot see sod all out of the back window, so you have to have the door open and watch your way back slowly. also unless your under 5'6" they are cramped to drive. But apart from that nice fast cars.

is it the cow??

nope.... and not by the way it was shifting when it passed me either!! ( I was in a "white van" at the time so I could obviously have p*ssed past him if i wanted to, too busy reading the Sport and drinking me tea ;) ;) )

and what IS the proper pronunciation of Countach??? is it Coontash? Count-atch? or as I have heard Con-tack!?

so come on all you *cough* clever people what is it???

c**t ass

nope....

oh - i thought mercielago was a cow - go on then what is it?

Regards,

alex

Murcielago was the name of the only bull in Spain's bullrings ever to have put up such a good fight that they let it live. That's where the name comes from, but the word itself probably has another meaning entirely e.g. Countach is what the Italians say when they see a gorgeous woman - approx. "bloody hell, look at that!"

But the Spanish word for "Bat" is "Bate"...

It would appear that the name was taken from the Fighting Bull, who was named after the spanish word for Bat....even if "Bate" is Bat.

oh I dunno. lol

I love all the Lambo's, I'd love a Diablo one day.

I read and EVO article on supercars for under £50K and the Diablo is now under that price for early models.

The thing that put me off most was the running costs it listed -

£6K for a clutch!

Makes the Z seem a bargain.
