Fairly recently aquired a 300zx which is running well, but the oil pressure gauge is intermittent. I do not have a workshop manual on this car but because the engine has not as yet blown up, I believe that this must be a sensor or gauge problem. The car is non turbo import 1989 Z32. Can any-body throw light on this subject please. Also is it possible to obtain a good workshop manual?

common fault on the Zed is the oil pressure gauge. The sensor fouls up and gives rubbish readings. You can either replace the stock sensor (expensive) or get a good aftermarket gauge fitted.

Workshop manual is availabe online or on ebay (CD)

see AndyP site under the links section .. sure it is there ...

You could actually join the club .. you may get lucky and get a link to download the manual .. only costs 20 notes .. and the wealth of expertise you get on here is second to none as well as top people.
