hi there mate!

i got a h reg import twin turbo.

mods on mine are :

70bhp chip and boost upgrade by zedworld (£350),

stainless back boxes and decat,

also to arrive is a blitz sus airfilter (many on here recommend the apexi single cone filter as being quite good),

just ordered the apexi avcr boost controller (£230).

i would say these are quite simple mods and not too expensive to carry out, but they make ALOT :D of difference to the performance of the car!!

zedworld has given me alot of help and advice, and they are based in tamworth which i dont think is too far from you. im off to hay on wye near hereford next week for a holiday!!! (thought you mite like to know!?)

welcome to the site anyway!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Matt!

Congratulations on your purchase! I wish you many happy miles!

I'm a trader based in Warwickshire (just south of Birmingham) so am not too far away from you. I always suggest the following to new owners:

Get the car looked over by a specialist (there are a couple in the vicinity). Get the cambelts changed (vital) and bring the engine up to proper working order before adding modifications. Once you're happy the car is mechanically in the best state it can be, then start adding the mods. The usual first mods are induction kit, cat-back exhaust, boost controller & chip.

As an official trader on this forum I can supply all the above but I would recommend you subscribe to the forum prior to ordering. It's £20 well spent!

Let me know if you have any further questions - I'd be happy to help.

All the best,

Dan

Welcome :D

Basic but significant Modifications

- Cat Back exhaust - (£500'ish)

- Decat (£150)

- Induction kit - (£100)

- Chip (under £100)

- Boost upgrade (couple of Pounds for Boost jets or about £250 for Electronic Boost controller)

However I would recomend concentrating on Braking and Handling either before or immediatly after the above Performance upgrades.

thanks for the rapid replys

i am going to get it checked out when i pick it up just dont know where to take it who know enough about them!!? the cambelts are due in 30k but will get done sooner and where are you danny? if your a trader maybe you can help me lighten my wallet with exhausts and induction kits!!

does anyone know birmingham imports!! cos thats where i am getting the car from!!??

and how do i subscribe to this forum cos i may sound daft here but i thought i did but it did not cost me any money!!

cheers

Cambelt should be done at the 60k (miles) service along with a lot of other items. Its the biggest Service, and its not cheap. (Around £400-£500 from somewhere like Ztech, or over £1k for the 60k service at a dealer(avoid dealers;))

Gaz don't mean to rain on your parade mate but the boost upgrade you had will give you at best 50bhp but in reality more like 40-50 bhp gain at the moment there are lots of people selling chips on ebay etc claiming they will give 60-70bhp gain imho this is a load of tosh

Matt before doing any modifications make sure the car is checked and you have a stable base to work from

Ryan

definaatly i have now put all mods on hold till the car is fully serviced and checked out and all ready i am shitting myself i really hope i have not been sold a nail!!!!!!!!!!!!
