Which would be cheaper and better in the long run??? Getting my box reconned, or fitting a second hand box??? Still dont know exactly whats wrong with mine, I just want to keep my options open. And whats a good price for buying and fitting a second hand box??

What are the symptoms of your box failing mate? a fast road box has got to be the best option if you have the money. To replace is going to cost a bit so makes sense to go for it big time.

When cold, it'll just stall when moved to D, R, 1 or 2. After its warmed up, it'll drive in R, 1, 2 but D just acts like N. Slight tin scraping noise coming from the box at idle in any gear. The diagnostic test says its the revolution sensor. Oil stinks and looks like very very fine particals in it. :cry: Gonna jack the car up 2morro and have a look under it. Dont really want to drive it about to check for any outhe symptoms.

I did drive up a curb rather fast by accident at the weekend (spun it!)

so maybe this has caused a connector to come lose. I'm just trying to be positive with it! Fingers crossed!

Could be but the oil and noise dont sound good mate, did you try and contact MJS?

Yeah I did, they dont deal with auto boxes. Apparantly no one in the Ipswich area do :cry:

My cousin can do a fast road box for the Z, at good money too I think, (he is doing me a special) I am having mine done soonish, he has allready tweeked mine and it works well.
