Who did not want to be in the magazine for the rollign road day

i have to ask, because the magazine could not understand why the owner would not like to have been in it.?

Just curious cause they had some choice words about him lol

Come on Warren, give us the full story wink.gif

Whos that?

Why did the mag have choice words about him?

Just curious.

oh i dont know if i should m8t,

was well funny.

I would just like to know the reasoning behind it.

In Nov/Dec issue of Jap Performance Mag, they had the Skyline Dyno day. I think our feature (if it happens) will be similar.

Each person had a shot of their car and a shot of themselves plus their dyno graph results.

Now, I know that they took shots of us and our cars butthey didn't take our dyno figures I don't think.

Mmmmm, it'll be interesting to see what they do, I think it comes out on Dec 19th or so.

It was me. I refused to have my photo taken with the car, so they said the car wouldn't go in the magazine. "Fair enough" I said.

I went to get my car dyno'd not to get my photo in a magazine. Didn't know what magazine it was anyway, don't read it, don't care. I was pleasant to them, if they are being rude about me behind my back then a) they should have the decency to say it to my face and b) they can f*ck right off !

ok calm down calm down (in scouser accent) do di do di do biggrin.gif

Just interested as to the reason.

Incidentally, I had no objection to the car being in the mag as long as the registration plate is not shown. I told the first guy that when he took the details and he was OK with it.

They should pay you for the privilege of being able to air your car in public anyway! Cheekey buggers! biggrin.gif

Besides, that's what sells their mag isn't it?

ok so when you drive down the motorway how many people see your registration?

i still dont see the point.

How about a Group Boycott of the magazine? Which one is it again? smile.gif

Anyway, if Andy doesn't want to be in their mag, that's up to him. These journalists need to realise that they aren't as important as they seem to think they are.

it was the photogropher

you can boycott it i ain cause they are doing full feature on my car as soon as ive done the interior biggrin.gif

So what exactly did the photographer say?

I need all the facts before I can make my boycott decision! biggrin.gif

he he nothing, but moaned that he had wasted time on the car.

Its just they said the owner did not want his picture in the magazine so maby we have a mix up. They were prepared to rub out the number plates as silly as that sounds, cant see the reasoning over it?

You really are a group of Wankers on this forum sometimes mad.gif

Another alias, lets guess?

go away if you dont have the balls to post under your real alias then dont post at all frown.gif

Easy !!!

Like Warren, I don't understand the number plate thing. I know it's common for people to hide them on pictures but why ?

It's a serious question - I don't get it.

Someone please help !

Dave

Ringers,

Its as simple as that, I have a Red Z, I live in Kent, all I need is a pic of a another red Z in another part of the country.

I then use his number, if I get snapped through a speed trap or lasered (vb?) on the MW its not my problem, plod sends his bill to the other address smile.gif

If the local plod does a PNC check then it comes up as a red Z.

Tim

I guess I can see that although whenever I've been pulled they want full name and address which presumably the ringer wouldn't know.

But I get the point - cheers !

D

but they can get your number of your number plate while driving behind or in front of you on the motorway or when you park in the street or when your car is at a garage or when yu go shopping , ect ect ect

I can understand the speed camera thing with a Ford Focus/Mundano type of car, as they all look alike. But with a Zed, there are hardly two cars which look the same, with regard to different spoilers, exhausts, wheels etc.

You would easily be able to prove it wasn't your car.I know car thieves clone stolen cars using another's registration no. though. This may be a good reason to cover your plate over in photos. In my opinion, the 300ZX is too uncommon a car to worry about this type of scam though. They usually go for run of the mill, easily traded cars or expensive exotica.
