I just wanted to say... If you have had a bad day.. think on .. I didn't make it back to my Mum when she died. Sarah, my girilfiend spent 8.5 hours on the journey back today on the M25 trying to get back to her father who had had a heart attack...

she made it back eventually and is now at the hospital . I am waiting to hear from her ... so if you think you have had a bad day, think again, sometimes it is just geat to feel alive and well ...

Puts things in perspective doesn't it

All the best

ATB - this is a big reason why I live only 2 miles away from my parents (aged 71 and 76).

It is funny/sad how we take so much for granted - life is the most precious gift - wisdom is learning to make the most of it. Only at a few moments do we really appreciate the gravity and importance of life.

i know how u feel chris

I hope he is OK Chris.

you are right too mate. It doesn't really matter what you have got and what you haven't got. Your life and the health of you and your family is the most precious thing. Look after yourself and those around you. Tell those you love that you love them. Life is too fookin' short not to.

No need to reply to this post. I just thought I would say that I have just had a v long telephone conversation with Sarah ... looks like her Dad is holding on ... don't know how long for, but we will have to wait and see.

He is still on a ventilator, so everything is being done for him.

Thanks again, I passed on all your kind words...

All the best

Chris

Mine and Jill's thoughts are with you both mate. Jill's father has been either in hospital or a care home for the last 2 years but he's still with us.

Nice words by Viniboy on post #31 as well
