Just though id post some pics of my work in progress boot install. Feel free to leave any comments etc.

 

PS. Fibreglass cuts your hands to pieces !! :wack:

 

 

Idea is to have the nitrous bottle at the back, with two 36" blue neons running its length, and tread plate floor in the boot. Got all this ready to go in. 12" Sub box has got to be fillered and smoothed into the square section at the back of the fibreglass build, and two eight inch subs either side

 

 

Already spent two days on it - now at the stage of sanding down the top coat of filler, and drinking tea a lot. By sunday night i should be ready to install the amps, subs, neons etc (i hope - but i think thats optimistic).

 

Trouble is im driving to the Bristol meet sunday, with no tunes ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I shall just have to be deaffened by the exhaust note instead :xxx:

 

Also put some neons in the cabin - as im sad like that haha

 

If anyone wants any help with doing a fibreglass install let me know, and ill do my best to give you any tips and help i can with sourcing affordable resins

Neons, hmmm, on the right car I think cool, but the car has to be really sh1t hot, ie, a done up zed! :

 

I hate seeing standad cars with neons, its like...you kkkkknob!!!! :D

I can trump the "mundane cars with neons", which I also dislike intently as it goes, the other night I was getting my fishing gear out of the car in Deal, and some chump cruises down the main road in front of the pier with neons on his 50cc Scooter!!!! :smw: :xxx:

(Sorry Mike for thread hijack - I do like your neon set up, as it goes, something I was always gonna do on my last one ... even at the risk of being derided by certain "narrow-minded" forum types ;) ;) :x: ).

Yea - sometimes i do think, im going a bit overkill with neons etc, but when you see it at night with green neons under it, and blue glow from the inside , you realise it looks awsome

 

The Z can pull it off, although there is another one around my hometown and it has neons and looks absolutely shite - dont know why - i think its cuz they are cheap halfords shit and not the proper Litewave/Eurolite LEDs

 

Still 50 percent of the time i get praise, and the other 50 percent havent seem them at night yet hahaha

Love the neons.

 

I'm sure the boot install will look good too when it's done.

looking good mate im gonna keep an eye on this one as im looking to build fibre glass boxes for my 12" subs 2... just haven't been brave enought to give it a go yet (never used fibreglass wanna do mine :D ;) )

i couldnt resist neons - mine are more subtle tho i have to say - softer blue and under the footwells. i think that the car needs to look mad for outer neons to suit, but hey I think a Z looks better for it than a mundane-o any day.

with your neons by the seat do you get any problems with ur fuel/boot catch looks like you wouldn't beable to use it :confused:

credit were credit due, well done m8, its good to have a vision and build something totaly from scratch, hope it turns out the way you want it to.

I have just slung some MDF in the boot as all my original stuff was missing, and i want it to be quickly removed ( 8Kg lighter for the pod ). Just installed one "10 sub, as i'm getting old and the thumping gives me a headache :rolleyes: . I had some MDF left over and made some spacers for the front doors to fit my old sony 6"x9", then coverd it all in the material that Cobra cover there bucket seats with.

Neons are not everyones cup of tea, neither are Z's, smoking, women, and drugs - but some people like them haha
