Hi I am looking at increasing the power of my '93 Uk spec Z32 manual. just cannot decide what boost controller & dump valve setup to go for?

 

Was thinking of going for Apexi twin chamber BOV kit plus a Greddy profec b boost controller (as i want it to be 1/4 DIN).

 

But have heard that the HKS super sequential dump valve setup is the best.

 

Is this really down to personal choice and they are all good or are there better options?

 

i am looking at getting 400BHP, with help from other bits also.

If you wan't some good dump valves and you aren't bothered about a 'brand' then you can get some excellent ones on ebay .. I got mine from there and they are absolutely fantastic .. really good ...

 

They sound fantastic .. and if you wanted to can be plumbed back to act as better ricircs ... (IMO that is best)

Boost controllers, well loads to chose from, I have an apexi one , but whatever floats your boat ...

Greddy porfec BII boost controller.....from chris at greddy :bow: and Dumps dont add Bhp........:x:

I cant recomend any specific makes in particular, but all of the Boost controllers do the same primary job, some just have extra features, but neither one will gain you extra power over another.

 

In terms of Dump Valves, The zed has recirculating Dump Valves as standard, so all your doing is swapping them for ones that vent to atmosphere to make a noise instead. There are no performance advantages (there is actually a slight performance disadvantage to BOV versus stock recircs)

 

Some are louder than others, and some require minor modifications to work correctly at the right pressures.

HKS SSQV are the best mate :dance: :dance: never heard a better noise from a dump valve.
