I have been watching the forums today and i am very surprised that members views are being deleted, especially in fight club.

i posted in reply to yaseens topic and had my post deleted, it was not insulting to anyone. I simply wanted to say that as a member I felt that traders on the site were there for members to provide a good deal. I would advise anyone to do their own search first as some prices on the internet are very competative.

I wondered if it would be possible to look at a rating or feedback system for traders, similar to e-bay. This would let people rate their dealings with individual traders and poeple can then judge for themselves.

I have recently purchased a product not aware that it was being made outside of UK and therefore had no UK warranty. Members need to be aware of what they are paying for.

I don't want to be banned for this post but I am concerned due to reading recent topics that members need to be reassured that we can purchase from traders but also have the right to express an opinion

.....I have recently purchased a product not aware that it was being made outside of UK and therefore had no UK warranty. .....

Was this product purchased from a UK company? If it was, then, AFAIK, it will stiil be under UK law, and as such MUST come with a minimum 12 month warranty for defective parts/workmanship, unless it is stated as refurbished/reconditioned or a used item.

That's potentially not quite right. If you bought it from a supplier located outside the UK, you might have problems with local warranty. But if you bought it from a UK company, then you have a legal warranty no matter where it was made.

It is sorted now as I no longer have the part and I have also learned my lesson the hard way :headvswal

the traders are here because they are trustworthy, if they **** around, or **** to many people off they are out, sure we get the headaches, sure its not seen as fair, but at the end of the day traders are here by invitation and their inclusion in the club trader area should be seen as the club putting their faith in their abilities to deliver, and as far as I am aware all traders currently on the forum are always looking out for their customers.

The board has always had a policy of warning people numerous times, and arguments are best sorted out via pm or phone or e-mail, not on the forum,

fight club is not a moderation free area, it is a more tolerant area but for legal reasons and reasons of just good taste and to remove all vindication from the forum it has to be moderated,

the matter being discussed could easily have been dealt with via pm, personally no one wants bullshit on the forum that doesn't have to be there, the place is about 300zx's not grudges and as seen before and today then carrying on an issue will result in a ban,

if your post in reply to a removed thread is also removed, it is nothing against you it is simply the quickest and easiest and also fairest way of dealing with the matter to remove the entire thread.

The ban today is actually only the 3rd dished out to a subscribed member and no subscribed member of this forum has been permanently banned before all the rumours start flying around about a ban happy club, people should really be happy how moderation free this forum is, but if you are asked to stop something then its polite to do so, the moderators don't take the piss so its not fair if the members try and take the piss out of them, after all the moderators are all paid up members who do this in their free time.

I agree with Mike, check out some of the other owner's clubs and they're moderated to within an inch of their lives. I missed the deleted thread tho so I can't comment on that. Peace out. :)
