different tint i do believe. The colour is different. Give craig a ring as im sure he knows more about this lot, as he had his redone recently.

Are all the windows a different tint, or just the windscreen ?

im not sure andy, just what i understand all the windows are different.

OK. Could just be the different safety marks on them. There may be differences between the years too.

oh buggering wotsits.. as they say!

 

auto windscreens need my chassis number.. bwahaha.. and nissan told them that jap cars are 8" shorter than UK cars... er yes.. 2+0's are... 2+2's are the same length.. (sigh)

 

no year differences for UK cars (checked FAST) but jap could be different, of course

Just give 'em the chassis number of a '90 spec UK car ...

the windows are only different by the tint, that is all.

 

nissan dealer prices for window was ~175+vat

I'd be surprised if they were the same shape as the door on the Jap is different as the seat belt is mounted on the door.

 

Best get a jap owner to visit you.

simon, the seatbelt isn't mounted to the glass though

 

the door pillar has the seatbelt mounting.

The glass on the import doesn't stop at the pillar with the seatbelt though. I can't see why it should make any difference to the size of the glass.

Looks like I've found a jap glass fortunately as long as the tint is the same..

 

shame the other bits look so expensive (dash).. not to mention hard to replace of course..

 

methinks it may be a while before i have a radio in the car again..

 

not that the car moves at the moment anyway

The seatbelt is only mounted on the doors in early cars (Series I only ???) Mine is a '92 Series II and the seatbelt is on the chassis, although the door still has a thick pillar, that in previous models was obviously intended for the seatbelt mountings.

It took me ages to find a dash. Cost me £150. Robbing gits

I believe that the windows on the Jap cars are bronze tint...and they are green tint on UK spec.Might be wrong though!
