the game was over 180 minutes, over two games dudek made ONE SAVE

how many did the chelsea keeper make??

off course they did some defending tonight, they were playing the champions of the premier league, on the way liverpool have beaten juventus, Bayer Leverkusen, and now chelsea

for years the italians have been masters of the strategy game, and liverpool played to their strengths tonight, lets not forget the injurys they have had all season, cisse broken leg, gerrard out for 3 months, baros in and out all season, morrientos cup tied etc etc, so no chelsea wern't poor, liverpool were outstanding in all departments, who knows what will happen in the final,

two weeks ago it was a forgone conclusion chelsea were through, lets not forget rafa benitez reckons it will take about 5 seasons to turn this side around, and judging some of their premier league results he could be right, so his acheivment in reaching the final should be applauded, maybe they will win the final maybe they won't, but they deffo were the better side for a game and a half over the two legs :bow:

personally i hope they play milan, i think milan are more predictable and hopefully rafa can outsmart them,

lol angry m8, not me, just watched a classic game, saw Liverpool win the champions league outright (5 that is m8)

but ffs, yes it was over 20 years since they last won THE BIG one, but funny enough you seem to forget it was 50 years since chelsea last won the title

no one is knocking chelsea because they are worthy champions, but to be classed great you need to do it year in year out, and it remains to be seen if chelsea are up there, and as a certain banner said

I thought it was fantastic. At half time I was going to go to bed as I thought it was all over. Then it turned into one of the most entertaining finals I've seen. I'm not a Liverpool fan, but I'm delighted for all the Liverpool fans who have stuck fast through thick and thin. also its a british team thats won.

 

What really suprizes me though Reading these two Threads is how all of a sudden Chelsea have as many fans as Man U and Arsenal.

I think thats TH is just for reference as who won it not whos playing.

 

UEFA have already issued 2 statements today stating they will NOT change the rules and england will still get 4 places and its upto the FA to allocate them. I have just heard the Everton have already threatened the FA with legal action if they try to remove them from their deserved place. At the end of the day its the top 4 teams, liverpool didnt make it so better luck next time, the cup is the "Champions League" so the champions of the domestic league qualify and so many places after that, in our case upto 4th, not 5th or if you happen to win it.
