Aftermarket Alarm - central locking question

Looking into purchasing an Alarm with Remote start at the moment, but a few of the Alarm sellers I have spoken to mentioned that you usually have to purchase an extra Central locking motor unit (available at extra cost when purchasing alarm) with most japanese cars.

 

Anyone know if that is correct for the zed, and why that is ?

    I believe it's becuase as standard the drivers door works mechanically from the keylock. If you upgrade to a modern alarm with a remote it then requires a motor to drive it.

    Once done tho it's nice to have remote central locking.

    100% correct, don`t get ripped off though, the motors are a fiver and it`s 45min job!!
