new gear knob question

hi guys just brought new gear knob from the Zcentre, just need to confirm with someone that its just a question of unscrewing the old one and putting the new one on. The reason I ask is that I attempted to unscrew the old one and it doesnt want to budge and before I go all out to unscrew it I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing.

thanks

Yep, you should just be able to unscrew it bud, then the new one should have some boss's with it ? all you need to do is get the one that fits the shaft connect that then place the new gear knob on that then screw in :D (thats if it is an after market fit)

Hope this helps fella....

High Lee,your stock gear knob will probly have thred lock on it.So get a pipe wrench on it and it will unscrew okay. Then the new knob will just screw straight on no probs.Myself and Martyn at Nomad racing developed that Zed knob and I tested the protatype (which is still on my Zed) for a couple of weeks prior to them being offered for sale.I love mine, feels great, hope you enjoy it.....Vinz

thanks guys will get to work on it tomorrow.
