VERY impressive. Amazing what a little pressure difference can do. ;)

So, how many airports can you see getting themselves geared up for it? Or do you reckon Boeing will convince them not to bother and just use their smaller aircraft instead? I don't reckon a company as big as Boeing got there by playing entirely 'fair'.

Congratulations mate, VERY impressive. Definitely something to be proud of, being part of aviation history - and almost worth having kids for just to tell them!!

Nice one mate! That's one impressive piece of machinery.

Will this mean the average air fare will drop from about ยฃ2 to about ยฃ1.50 now? I hope so!

You must be very proud, looks like youve helped to make a peice of history there. Congrats :duffer:

About 20 of the worlds major hubs are ready or will be read for entry into service (LHR, Dubai, LAX, Singapore, Sydney etc). Estimated 40-60 in the next 10 years, all depends on how airlines react now. Smaller, more fuel efficient aircraft...think they're right, thats why we are starting major work on the A350, a rival to the 787. More headaches for me!

Not straight away, but over time it will cut fares in the same way that the 747 did IMHO. Looks stumpy at the moment, but a stretched version is a possibility... ;)

Nice one Alex!! :D
