Not sure if this is the right place to find this out but here goes.

Which garages in the NW would you trust your Z with?? I mean from tyre changes to engine overhaul.

Just thought it might be a good idea to get a list of regional garages and peoples experiences with them.

Can vouch for C and S Woods, just got my car back today. Phil even added an extra bit of bling under the bonnet free of charge! :)

Barry.

Aye Phils your man & just down the road from you too Pete :)

Me too, can't fault them - except thay should lend me a courtesy DB9 every time my zed is in there!

For wheels and Tyres I used Pembroke, seem fair and reasonabe and Alan is one of those rare people you can trust!

at a guess. ;)

Has anyone used any body shops in the North West area that they'd recommend? Particularly for underbody work and respraying. My UK spec car looks rather sorry for itself underneath (rust) and I'm not convinced it will pass the next MOT without work. I also need someone who can respray the sill and rear wheel arch areas after I've finished sorting them out.

The nearer to Chester the better...

Ive had work done on my car by two places, the first, but not quite local to you is PPS a trader on here, Peter did a great job for me. The other work Ive had done was through Phil, not sure the name of the bodyshop as Phil organised it, but again did a great job.

Thanks Barry,

Was looking for something local really but I'll bear C & S in mind as an option as the car could do with being serviced (cam belt etc.)

A good garage to use is Century Autocare in A-in-M 01942 720072,

I had clutch, turbo seals & de-catted do here a very good price and top quality work. Ask for Ste he is a ex Z owner himself so he knows the cost of running one of these cars

which one is that?

which one is that?

Place called Bygone Autos - they do a lot of classic car restoration but also do normal bodyshop work from what I understand. They may be more 'sympathetic' than a normal garage...

For work done on your Z another massive thumbs up for phil at CS Woods, he does all the work on my friends 300 and except the mapping, hes done pretty much everything on my 350 bhp S14, and I really cant fault him :D

After all your recomendations i phoned phil and have my z booked in for a 'health check' today, thanks everyone

Regards

Pete

Phil, top guy, nuf said

Pete, good to meet you at Phils the other day

Phil can sort everything from engine rebuilds to full resprays, he uses a top local company for his bodywork.

He also builds nice exhaust, as fitted to the "Petrol mobile"

PS..Give us a buzz asap about Sunday
