Hi all have not used Zed for a few month's and seem to have lost my kickdown on full acceleration/Thottle?

Just stays in whatever gear your in ie overdrive at 75mph even if you boot it...Unless i downchange manually or turn off O/D...

Gearbox Diag all O.K!!

I dont want to start striping things down yet until ive had some replys...

try ecu reset first. battery off for an hour will reset the gearbox and engine ecu's.

You looked/smelt the gearbox oil? might be worth droping it and putting fresh in and cleaning the filter.

Isn't there some micro switch somewhere near the pedal?

 

I remember Jeff TT mentioned it can get bent and hinder kickdown.

It should still kickdown even without hitting the switch. but yeah deffo well worth a look. :duffer:

I do remember on my previous zed hearing a click like a soleniod click when i depressed the throttle pedal hard with the ignition on and engine off....i dont hear that on my new zed.....? Nothing!! Any one else hear this click just as the pedal bottoms out? (only while ignition is on and engine off)

if you stick your head under the dash and look right at the top of the accelorator pedal you should see the switch. Dont recall ever hearing my one click.

Tested switch all fine but still no Kickdown :(
