For those who were interested, I've, finally, completed my journel of our trip to Egypt back in March. You can find it in the Journel section.

Thank you.

I personally like the bit on the board that says "say NO to drugs, if they are of poor quality"

looks like you had a great time :D

Not sure Tony, we were at The valley Of The Kings, and they were doing some fresh excavating while we were there. I beleive there was a documentary on TV about it recentley.

Between us we took over 460 photo's while we were there!!!! Glad we both had digicams :D

relative of mine went to Egypt on his honeymoon, got sick the second day, then hospitalised and airplaine home ...

I always wanted to go Egypt but now the misssus says 'NO' Monkey ...

Nice write up and photos Dave - we've picked up some good information that we can use on holiday there in August. We will be doing a week's cruise on the Nile followed by a week in Luxor.

Cheers

xcellent work! keep meaning to do that, been to egypt twice now and never seen any of the (landbased) sights! that scuba diving thing is nearly as addictve as the z!

edit - oh yeah as an addition i found that taking a bog roll with you to the airport (sharm) was very useful as the kids nick it all from inside and sell it to you on the door!

Interesting stuff Dave,I will get there one day lol.

Only one thing to ask MORE PICS PLEASE:D;)

i've bben to Egypt and seen the pyramids and all, didnt go to the valley of the kings though.

We actually went to Cyprus for a hol, but booked a 3 day/ 2 night mini cruise to Egypt, we thought that we may aswell seeing hows it would be unlikely that we would book a trip to egypt alone so while we we fairly close we went for it. It only cost about 130 quid aswell.

Thats really unlucky, bet he'd rarther have been in bed for another reason

But we found that everywhere that food was prepared, it was very clean, so as far as food poisioning is concerned, you've got as good a chance as most other resortsaround the Med.

Of course there is always sunstroke, which did affect Karen, and to a lesser extent, me aswell. But you just have to remember.... It's BLOODY HOT!!!!!! so cover up, wear suncream etc. Other than that it's no different than going to Greece or Spain etc.

I'll see what I can do :D
