hi there guys i'm in need of some major help. I bought a set of downpipes and decat pipes for my jap spec 1991 300zx manual twin turbo and get fitted. I bought a the set from ebay from a seller in the US, they seem like the standard set that everyone gets i think. Anyway, my friend had a look today and says it doesnt look like they will fit, he says the standard pipes have an extra pipe going into them and the downpipes which i bought dont have a hole for that. I'm totally lost at the moment.

 

Can someone give me some advice on how to get these on. The link for the pipes which i bought is below:

hi, can you give me full details of what you had to do, do they go on on the exhaust side or the manifold side? where are the cats located? can you please give me full details of what you had to do?

Sure no probs. Was really easy to do. I gave the car to my mechanic and then picked it up a week later.

 

I think your talking about the sensors for the Cats, they are temp sensors and cos you dont have cats any more they are not needed and can just be tucked up out the way.

If its the downpipes that your talking about then yes they WILL need the holes for the O2 sensors. think youve got the wrong pipes mate. talk to the supplyer.

They are the right ones for your car, as i have just fitted this type to my car, the holes in the top of the exhaust manifold are for the O2 sensors, which are on the old manifolds that you are gonna take off, the other pipes that you are talking about on your existing cat goes to some valves under the wings, you dont need to connect them, and there is a small sensor at the back of the old cat that you just leave disconnected, just tuck it up out of the way with a cable tie.
