Times u r reminded how quick bikes are compared to a Zed...

I know theres a few bikers on here so you'll like this......

So there I was cruising down the M25 in the fast lane,

staying under the 100mph licence looser limit,

and I catch a glimpse of something in the rear veiw,

After closer inspection it was a motorbike makin ground fast.

So I pull into the middle lane to allow him to pass,

He proceeds to pull up along side,

Obviously wanting to demonstrate the finer arts of a bike....

He then put it on its back wheel,

and accelerated away at a MOFO of a speed well in excess of 120mph doin an estimated 40-60ft wheelie.

I nearly kum in my pants

This kinda thing just reminds me just how fast these road/race bikes are compared to cars...

Unfecking beleivable

Dont ask me what bike it was...........It was a FAST one.

I know it wasnt a Ducati...wrong sound.

I really wish I had recorded it for all you lot to see but I had no time to get my phone out and probably wouldnt of been the safest thing to do whilst driving anyway :nono:

Seeing this now makes me wanna spend my week off next week re-builing my MotoXer and getting some air-time.

 Respect to all bikers and especially the dude on the bike for making my day

Had 14 bike accidents in total and a couple of them were pretty bad, the rest were just blind tw@ts smashing into me at red traffic lights. Having a door opened onto my GSX-R, flying through the air and landing in the rear of an open top MG was unpleasant. A dumb blonde turning accross my path and my head going through her windscreen was scarey, but not as bad as when I looked down at me crotch and saw blood (Fireblade tanks are quite high at the back and there was a tank/family jewels interface  :wack: ) The worst was a Merc van that swung into my lane on a dual carriageway at 70(ish). My left femur made a 3 foot long tear in the side of the van (didn't do much for the femure either!) but I then bounced off the van and hit a road sign post on the central reservation, fracturing 3 vertebrae, breaking the right side of my rib cage off my spine, puncturing a kidney, fractured right wrist and out for the count for 3 days! :wack: :wack: :( Called it a day after that - bought a nice safe car (Z), lost the rear end on diesel in the wet and hit an on-coming Mondeo, which almost chopped the Z in half! But at least I walked away - and no bloody nut-sack! :D

Fook I thought I'd broken a few bones.

These are my only resevations about buying another bike.

1) I would have to see what she can really do.

2) if it does it then I will.

3) The roads are over crowded with fook wits oblivious to the fact that life exists beyond their cumfi seats.

4) That this lack of knowledge gives them the power to snub it out.

5) that once you are pozest by the snarling beast all intentions of riding sensibly evaperate. Usually by the time you press the start button.

So should I?

List of personal injuries.

Broken ankle. Pulled up at traffic lights at 02.30, put left foot down only to discover some tw@t had remove manhole cover. I heard it snap.

Fractured left arm just bellow elbow when left foot came of foot peg while pulling wheely. (I decovered I cannot running at 45mph whilst trying to hold up my inverted bike)

Broken pelvis and damaged hipsocket. Hit by a motorbike followed by its rider.(he'd lost it coming into a bend just as I came into it from the opporsite dirrection. I was already comitted and well over when his bike slamed into my bike, flicked up and hit me. All on my right hand side (just bruses). I must have rolled and tryed to stand when he having hit the bikes and flicked up over them hit me in the left side and snap crackel and pop.) My pillon wasn't hurt.

4 Broken ribs and 2 broken fingers Again on left. hit GPO van that pulled out.

+ loads more, but the worst was Bike on centre stand in a friends garden, at a barbi. Me like a dick sat backwards on bike laughing that much I fell off backwards and fracture my skull. and gess what. I did damage to my left temperal lobe.

Cars are safer.

LMFAO!!!!  :wack:

I'd love another bike, but there are just far too many tin boxes on the road these days, and the standard of driving has gone right down the toilet. Does anyone ever FAIL a test any more? Mind you, why bother to take a test if as long as you don't go over a speed limit and get caught by a camera you'll never get stopped. Safety cameras MY ARSE!! :headvswal

Seems like you've had some nasty breaks too (pelvis is supposed to be horrendous!) At least I don't remember my femur shattering, but apparently it sounded like a gun-shot

It wasn't good, but just tipical of me my worst break and I wasn't even moving.

i read in the mail, I think, or it might have been the Express about the increase in Traffic from the 50's -60's, 60's - 70's, 70's - 80's and so on, but the jump durring the 90's was over a third from 20.something million cars to 33 million. It don't take a mathmatition to work out that we reached saturation point then.

I think we need more people of the roads, but sped cameras are not the way. + the driving test should inclued an intellegence test and a behavioural suitability test. I recon 40% of people driving would fail that.

Maybe i'll move to France. there's more miles of open road and less potholes.

Blimey...been re-assuring reading these threads chaps....lol

Least ive only had a fractured skull, broken ribs and dislocated both arms at the same time with a few knocked out teeth.

pretty much small fry compared to those above.

So the question is..."why do we do it?"

and the answer is..."Because we can" ;)

So next time we all stradle a bike(machine not person :D ) think we should all take it a bit easier....

yer...like FvCK :slap: as if

Just got back from a 1000 mile trip on a Fazer 1000*. It sure has some shove at 80mph in 3rd - it'd take a serious car to match it.

Wish I could do decent wheelies and glad I've dodged the serious injuries - some of you guys have had some nasty 'offs'!

*I saw several things that were in The Wicker Man, including what's left of the actual Wicker Man himself. And that pub where a young, firm Britt Ekland danced around naked.

I remember sitting at a set of lights once when a 900 fireblade pulled up next to me, I had a big smile on my face and the rider gave me the nod, I knew I had no chance but just wanted to see as I was running 16psi.

Lights changed both let it have it, he has come up on the back wheel and we are side by side, soon as the front wheel touched the ground he fooked off, all good fun to be honest I found bikes the only interesting thing to race

Racing bikes might be fun, but as happend to my frined yesturday in portugal driving along the motorway on his way home on his bike hit head on into a rubbish truck and unfortunetly has now died. (wasnt racing or nuffin) left a wife and 8 year old kid behind. :-(

SAD I NO BUT ONE DAY MIGTH BE US. MADE ME FINK NOW B4 I GO OUT DRIVING

N300TT

Damn - I'm so, so sorry to hear that. What a terrible loss.

My thoughts are with his wife and child.

Agreed!!

Sad loss mate!

Just as tale was told up top i was winding my transit van up the on ramp to the golden valley bypass in cheltenhan and got to about 60 when i went to overtake a blue rinser doin abot 25mph i looked in my side window then looked back at blue rinser as i went to indicate a fookin C.B. 900 with i think a turbo went past me so fast i put my van wheel into the grass verge this may have been me not paying attention you say but its a dead straight road that you can see behind you for about half a mile and he wasnt there then he was his brake light went on as he passed me which gave him about 800yards to slow for the roundabout and he locked the back wheel up at the last second caus he ran out of room and just made it round the roundabout he must have been doin about 160mph i have crashed 7 bikes in my time but i have never been scared like that in me life !!!

Hello people,

Bikes rule, amen.

Or can a corvett blow away a susuki hayabusa with a TURBO bike ? (fastest production bike)

Check out http://www.speedtable.com

Sorry I put the wrong web address. It is this one http://garyjavo.com/

Wow, I can't say i would have believed that if it wasn't on video.

A guy in my home town hit a car head on, somersaulted over the car and landed on his feet and walked away!!!! It was in the local rag 'luckiest man alive' etc.

I had a ZX9R...was a damn quick bike. Used to suffer from carb icing tho..cutting out on the fast lane of the M25 in Feb is not good!!!!!

I used to drive it every day, all weatghers with no accidents until a tractor pulled out on me going to work (I was doing 40MPH) and I went straight into the side of it. Never been on a bike since. Nearly diedin the ambulance and when I got there they nearly cut my arm off,,,,

Used to drive it throught Germany and Holland at 170+ and I come off at 40...ffs....

I still like to look at them tho...
