Was going to get myself insured under Classic insurence with Heritage but for some reason they've changed their age limit so you now have to be 30 years old. That or someone just had a bad day... cause I got a quote with them about a month ago.

 

Anyway, please give me a list of insurence companies that you know of who will insure a 26 year old with no bonuses at all on a Jap Import TT. Here's a list of those I've already tried.

try tesco insurance dont know the website but ive just been insured by http://www.budgetinsurance.com for £710 but ive got 8yrs ncb butv might be worth giving them a try

Tesco say they do not insure performance cars so i went with direct line insurance very very good price specially if you do it on line.

i was with tesco last year and they even sent me a qoute this year just they were asking too much

Tescos do 300ZX. UK ones that is. Not Jap Imports.

maybe thats why i got insured i got a uk zed for this reason chaper insurance, but what ive saved in insurance ive spent on rust innhibitor lol

Being old does have its advantages. I have my J spec manual non Turbo and my Eunos Roadster both insured with Heritage fully comp on 5ooo miles each car with err indoors named and cough up £520 for the year. This includes all the legal cover rubbish and recovery to anywhere in the UK. :hyper:

If your getting quotes for fully comp for over £2k and your living out of London, with 9 years NCB, I really dont wanna know what they will try and quote for me, considering I'm living in Inner London, in a quite high crime rate area and I have NO NCB at all!!!

Had a quote from them before but now that I'm calling up to take them up on the quote they wont cover me because I'm under 30. I swear, by the time I get to 30, they wont cover me because I'll need to be 35 or something! :mad:

i've just done with carol nash, £321 fully comp on an import tt, its on a classic so only 6000 miles but i dont use it that much, also got windscreen, breakdown and £100 excess, 28 with 9 years ncb 3 points but driving for a living does help ;)

9yrs NCB...that means your older than me, and I only pay £650 with 4yrs NCB on my Import TT. Why so high ?

I can understand that I'm trying to get myself insured on a IG20 car. Thing was I was hoping to get it under classic insurence as I already had a quote for it at £650, cause I do have access to another car. Only they wont do it now, so I've gotta insurence it as a main car now even though I'll probably not drive any more then 3/4k miles a year!

 

What was their reason ? I only insured mine with them last week, and Im a year younger.

I believe it's where I live which was the deciding factor. Living next door to Brixton doesnt exactually help.

Called them up and as soon as I said import they told me they dont do it. Weird huh. :cry:

They dont do Nissans due to a high number of '200SX' owners crashing their cars and claiming. Not too sure why that would affect us '300ZX' owners but there you go.

Same with me with Carole Nash - I'm sure folks on here have imports with them, but as soon as I said the word import it was a no.

 

Just got an Ok deal with greenlight - try a serach for them.

i have used http://www.HoughtonInsurance.co.uk . They are on the traders forum.

 

I got my Jap import insursed through them. It's agreed value. 5 thou miles PA. I have told them about the mods (if you don't and pile it chances it will void the policy) :slap:

 

I am 38 and it's on a classic policy but it's with no no claims.........

cost me £425 with another named driver . So i think i did OK on this. :nana2: :nana2:
