Hi everyone, my name on here used to be Rich1 but i havn't been on here for a few years cos sold the Z but for some reason i wasn't allowed to log in so re-registered.

Anyway i miss my Z so now going for another, last one was a jap import 1990 300zx tt 2+2 auto, now i have decided to go for another jap import 1991 300zx non turbo 2+2 auto, what i wanna really know is there any bad things to look for on this motor before i buy? it reads 114,000 kmh on the clock and to be honest its the best one there, exterior and interior is unmarked and no worn seats or strips on the roof flakin off, under the bonnet is very clean.

What you think peeps?

Also wanna know what bhp the non turbo auto is?

Cheers and good to be back.

Rich

Welcome,

In stock form yes, the TT is relativey detuned as they leave the factory and it does'nt take much to release the extra potential.

The TT also has an extra 85 Ib/ft of torque as standard, and thats what really matters.

For (average) performance figures :

NA

222 bhp

198 Ib/ft

0-60 : 7.0 secs

0-100 : 18.6 secs

Top speed : 140 mph

TT (Euro and Japan)

280 bhp

283 Ib/ft

0-60 : 5.5 secs

0-100 : 14.5 secs

Top speed : 170 mph +

Cheers, really not goin for the power especially after gettin caught on camera last time in the turbo doin a 0-60 test. if the car was diesel i would have one.

Goin for looks n not power this time but still nice to have a bit of power there if some little twit in a nova dustbin gets excited at the lights.

Finally got my Z few days ago, for a 1992-J plate it is in immaculate condition, only prob is the rear spoiler paint flakin but other than that there is not one scratch on it, under the bonnet is spotless. now all i need is to get the clocks converted......i have done this myself before with the soldering thingy but place i got it from is no longer there......any of you wanna put me in the right direction?

Thanks guys, pc been away for repair so couldn't get on the site. In the meantime i went and bought a speedo converter local for £50, know that is dear but had to be done.

I am now looking for clear front fog lights, front flashers and the rear ones in bumper, been looking on ebay but didn't know if you lot knew of any companies that do em.

Cheers..................Rich
