Been checking some of my pics this afternoon, and there certainley are some different colour diferences between cameras..........

Taken by myself, just after I got it, with a Fuji 36mm SLR camera,

Also taken by myself, but with my Fuji A202 DigiCam,

Again taken by me, but this time with my new Motorola RAZR V3 camera phone,

This time taken at Santa Pod, sorry can't remember who took this one :slap: ,

And finally, taken last weekend by Peach,

So which one is closest to the real colour? Then we'll all know what camera to go out and buy! :hyper:

Also, how much effect would the differing amount of sun light/cloud cover have had? Just to throw a spanner in the works. :)

Well the one taken with the SLR, is a little darker than the actuall colour of the car, but then this pic was transfered from film to digital at the processing shop, so it could have lost somthing there. Also it was a dull January morning when I took it. The Fuji DigiCam was taken at the same place, but one year later, and with (as you can see) good sunshine! TBH the car does look this good in the sunshine

As for the Motorola, well it's just a crap picture :D lol

The one at the Pod, i beleive, IMHO, the colour setting of the picture are out. Not sure how, wether the pic has been through PhotoShop or PSP, or if the camera is off in some way.

And the last one, I think the colour is out aswell.

I dabbled with doing "proper" photography a couple of years ago, 90% of photographers hate digital for this exact reason, its pretty poo (unless you spend mega bucks on a quality 10megapixel + camera) the results that can be achieved with only a few hundred quids worth of 35mm SLR and lense are pretty stunning, best way of getting them onto my PC was to scan the negatives using a fancy pants scanner (cost about £350 at the time). I found the scanning service offered by most development places was a little poor (flat looking colours) and the image sizes were always way too small to do anything clever with on the PC (at the time needed them to go into marketing material) having said that though the top pic is defo the best of the bunch... (but notice how the grass in the background doesnt quite look the right colour. (bit dull/flat??).. jessops scanning for you! :) )

That's amazing what a difference it makes! The camera phone makes it look a very deep colour eh?

I had to take another look at the pic from Santa pod, it's almost identical to my previous Zed except yours has been de-spoilered and hasn't got the 300ZX writing on the side. Don't see many of that colour about really...

I love the effect of the first one :)

different cameras??

looks like an excuse to post lots of pics of your car dave

Damm, looks like I've been rumbled ;)

Give me a SLR 36mm anyday. I used to dabble myself in photography and I just can't get the quality of images on my digital camera.
