I've brought some dials from america which read 160mph, my z is an import with 190 kph on, with a mph converter. Can i calibrate my speedo to give the correct reading???

holy crap where did you get you're wheels from mate?!!? that's just the thing I'm looking for, except in Chrome

havnt fitted mine yet, i want to wire them into my headlight switch and its not as simple as it sounds. still working on it

Have you done the resistor change yet!

If you want, hang off fitting them, I've ordered a set , luckily I'm off work at the moment so I've got a bit of time to sus out the the calibration/fitting. I could supply you with a calibrated set if you want or supply more info when I've done it.

that would be great!

this probably wont mean anything to you until uv recvd your set and seen them but i had my mate round this weekend and we had a play around with the dials. with the black wire connected to ground and the red to positive on the battery, the lights were switched on and off by shorting the two pins that connect to the switch.

we measured th voltage across one of the connections to the dials and we got 2.1v, as there all connected in parrallel it must be 2.1v coming out of the box.

i was gonna junk the black box and connect the two wires going to the dials (1 to ground) and the other to the light switch through a potential divider.

i aint to good at electronics, wot do you think?

I'm no expert in electronics either, but I'll get them working I'm pretty sure.I don't know how the lighting works but I'm guessing it's an electro luminescant material. The black box you refer to will be an inverter which will convert the 12v D.C. voltage supplied from the car to an A.C. voltage, if there are only two input wires(black and red) to the inveter, if you connect them to + and - the dials should light,if you are measuring the output from the inverter you should set your meter to measure a A.C. voltage. Dont junk the black box.
