**help Guys Please**

Just overheated twice within 10 miles. Drove home, 4 1/2 miles temp gauge was hot as I pulled into the drive. Put about 5 litres of coolant in.

Drove back to work, overheating again, really wet on the top right hand side near the radiator cap, also onside wheel arch very wet.

It's a new rad cap, I suspect this is the problem, but could a dodgy rad cap, if it's releasing it's pressure too easily empty a radiator in under 5 miles??????

Or could it be a symptom of something else?

Thought there may have been a lot of condensation coming out of my exhausts this morning - am desperately hoping it's not a head gasket. How do I check this?

Cheers for any help,

Matt (stranded at work - nooooooooooooooo)

Yeah - cheers mate. It's new but not oem. Am going to get a Greddy one off Chris I think. Old one seems to have solved the problem for the mo.

The rads have a plastic neck, which can wear out.

If the cap is not seated properly, this can lead to

all sorts of problems. When you put the cap on, make

sure you can push it down, it should feel springy.
